Results happen by plan

Planning is the key to delivering results.

Below are photos that help demonstrate how we put details identified in a client pre-consultation session into action through the photo session and end display format.

In our pre-consultation sessions, we get to know our clients, what they like, and which environments may be best suitable to showcase their personalities.  In Noah's session, we discussed he wanted the mountains with a bright blue sky.  We also picked out a day in April when he'd be free.  It turns out the day we chose ended up being the first 100-degree day of the year.  As temperatures climb in Arizona, it adds hydration to the equation.

We planned to sort out the time of year, the time of day, the expected direction and quality of light, and potential background locations.  We knew we may have to create shade and use a strobe to accomplish a quality look based on the above variables.   We also knew this location was an active hiking trail.  This meant we'd have to carry the equipment with us, stay hydrated, and be efficient and courteous to the other hikers on the trail.

Seeing is believing.  The results!

The first photo shows the behind-the-scenes view of us working through the different variables to create a dynamic portrait on location.  We know the Superstitions were our intended background.  The sun was high in the sky, so we needed to shade the subject and change the direction of light to accomplish the portrait.  When the trail was clear we took a couple of photos in the space, then moved on.

The second photo shows the composition, lighting, and Noah the way he envisioned.  The result was best displayed across 2 pages in a 12" x 12" album.  An album is a fantastic medium to display a large landscape background like this.
